It is 1746 and the Jacobite Rising rumbles on, but troops loyal to King George have recaptured Edinburgh.
Meet soldiers of the Edinburgh City Guard as they digest the latest news, and support the army’s plans to march out against Bonnie Prince Charlie’s army.
Visit the historic Gladstone’s Land to discover more about shifting tides of war in 1745-6, and what it was like to fight with (or live with!) the 18th century British army.
