From Napoleonic times to the end of the Victorian era, the Scottish people dominated industry and the world at the forefront of the British Empire’s Growth. Through a combination of emigration/colonisation and service with many regiments within the Brittish armed forces, it was at this time that the Scottish along with many Irish and Welsh families ventured in mass as far as Australia and New Zealand.
