FREE entry event. But please see below.

A fantastic day has been planned, including stalls, crafts, lots and lots of music, dancing, medieval re-enactments, a beer tent and food stalls. What’s not to like?

Monifieth’s Medieval Fair has become a regular fixture in the town’s calendar with hundreds of folk from the town (and further afield) attending the lively mix of battle re-enactments, performers, stalls, charities, sports, youth groups and food, drink and craft stalls.

Featuring displays and performances from:

Entry to the event has always been FREE, and the organising committee is determined to keep it that way.

However, the fair costs upwards of £3000 to stage, with a substantial amount of equipment needing to be hired, such as marquees, generators and sound equipment, as well as the cost of first-aiders, policing, transport, security, publicity and insurance.

This money has to be fundraised. In the past, Angus Council partly helped with a grant, but due to cutbacks, this cash is no longer forthcoming.

We need your help with this year’s event, which will be staged on Sunday the 14th of July. Please pledge what you can to pay for what promises to be another great day for the citizens of Monifieth and our visitors.
